Oxygen Analyzer:
The OMD-150 Oxygen Analyzer combines a rugged outdoor wall-mount design with Southland Sensing’s precision electrochemical oxygen sensor technology. Designed for continuous industrial oxygen monitoring, the OMD-150 provides reliable and cost-effective trace or percent oxygen measurement with an intuitive, easy-to-use interface.
The analyzer is available in multiple electronic configurations to accommodate different installation requirements. Options include a 2-wire configuration, a 3-wire configuration with isolated 4–20 mA output, and a 6-wire configuration. An intrinsically safe configuration is also available for applications requiring appropriately rated instrumentation.
The OMD-150 can be configured for either trace parts-per-million (PPM) or percent oxygen measurement using the appropriate Southland Sensing oxygen sensor and measurement ranges.
The large local display operates in auto-range mode, automatically selecting the appropriate measurement range as the oxygen concentration changes. The analog output range can be selected through the onboard menu for straightforward integration with a PLC, DCS, data acquisition system, or other process control equipment.
Process gas connections are available with 1/8″, 1/4″, or 6 mm compression tube fittings to accommodate a variety of installation requirements.

Oxygen Sensor Technology:
The oxygen sensors used in the OMD-150 are based on proven galvanic electrochemical fuel cell technology. All oxygen sensors are manufactured in-house by Southland Sensing Ltd. under a controlled quality program to provide consistent performance, accuracy, and long-term stability.
Multiple sensor chemistries are available to accommodate different process gas compositions. Standard sensors are designed for applications containing background gases such as hydrogen, helium, and hydrocarbons. Acid-resistant sensors are available for applications containing carbon dioxide and other acid gas backgrounds, including many natural gas streams.
Southland Sensing oxygen sensors are completely self-contained and require minimal routine maintenance, with no electrodes to clean or electrolyte to replenish.
Southland Sensing’s precision electrochemical oxygen sensor technology provides reliable oxygen measurement while maintaining long sensor life across a wide range of industrial applications.

Oxygen sensors should be periodically calibrated to maintain measurement accuracy. Southland Sensing recommends calibration approximately every 2–3 months, or at an interval appropriate for the specific application and operating conditions.
The sensors provide excellent linearity and can be conveniently calibrated using ambient air when appropriate. For applications requiring greater calibration accuracy or traceability, a certified span gas can be used.
