OMD-625 Oxygen Analyzer | Product Specifications

Oxygen Analyzer:

The OMD-625 Oxygen Analyzer combines a rugged hazardous-area design with Southland Sensing’s precision electrochemical oxygen sensor technology. The result is a reliable, cost-effective analyzer designed for continuous trace and percent oxygen measurement in natural gas, hydrogen, biogas, petrochemical, and other demanding industrial applications.

The OMD-625 is certified for installation in Zone 1, Group IIB + H₂ hazardous-area environments.

Both the power input and analog output are electrically isolated, helping prevent ground loops and electrical interference when the analyzer is integrated with plant control and monitoring systems.

Standard trace oxygen measurement ranges include:

0–10 PPM O₂
0–100 PPM O₂
0–1,000 PPM O₂
0–10,000 PPM O₂
0–25% O₂

Optional percent oxygen measurement ranges include:

0–1% O₂
0–5% O₂
0–10% O₂
0–25% O₂
0–100% O₂

In addition to the standard measurement ranges, the OMD-625 allows the user to configure a custom full-scale range to match a specific process requirement. For example, a custom range of 0–94.0 PPM O₂ can be configured when a standard range does not provide the desired measurement span.

电源要求

Input Power: 100–240 VAC, 50/60 Hz or 12–24 VDC
Current Draw: 50 mA nominal (DC operation)

Oxygen Sensor Technology:

The oxygen sensor used in the OMD-625 is based on proven galvanic electrochemical fuel cell technology. All oxygen sensors are manufactured in-house by Southland Sensing Ltd. under a controlled quality program to provide consistent performance, accuracy, and long-term stability.

Multiple sensor chemistries are available to accommodate different process gas compositions. Standard sensors are designed for applications containing background gases such as hydrogen, helium, and hydrocarbons. Acid-resistant sensors are available for applications containing carbon dioxide and other acid gas backgrounds, including many natural gas streams.

For sour gas applications, H₂S-resistant oxygen sensors are available for process streams containing up to 500 PPM H₂S.

Southland Sensing oxygen sensors are completely self-contained and require minimal routine maintenance, with no electrodes to clean or electrolyte to replenish.

Southland Sensing’s precision electrochemical oxygen sensor technology provides reliable oxygen measurement while maintaining long sensor life across a wide range of industrial applications.

Oxygen Sensors:

The OMD-625 is available with multiple oxygen sensor configurations to accommodate trace and percent oxygen measurement across a variety of process gas compositions.

TO2-133 PPM Oxygen Sensor: Trace Oxygen Analysis – Standard Applications
TO2-233 PPM Oxygen Sensor: Trace Oxygen Analysis – Acid Gas Applications
TO2-238 PPM Oxygen Sensor: Trace Oxygen Analysis – Sour Gas Applications, <500 PPM H₂S
PO2-160 Percent Oxygen Sensor: Percent Oxygen Analysis – Standard Applications
PO2-24 Percent Oxygen Sensor: Percent Oxygen Analysis – Acid Gas Applications

Oxygen sensors should be periodically calibrated to maintain measurement accuracy. Southland Sensing recommends calibration approximately every 2–3 months, or at an interval appropriate for the specific application and operating conditions.

The sensors provide excellent linearity and can be conveniently calibrated using ambient air when appropriate. For applications requiring greater calibration accuracy or traceability, a certified span gas can be used.
