The OMD-525X provides integral data logging through a removable USB flash drive. Measurement data is recorded in an Excel-compatible .CSV format and organized by date for convenient transfer, review, and documentation.

The user-selectable logging interval can be configured from 1 to 120 minutes, allowing the data collection rate to be adjusted based on the specific process and monitoring requirements. Because the USB flash drive is removable, recorded data can be easily transferred to a computer without removing the analyzer from service.

The OMD-525X can be configured for trace parts-per-million (PPM), percent, or oxygen purity measurement by selecting the desired measurement ranges through the built-in menu and installing the appropriate Southland Sensing oxygen sensor.

Oxygen Analyzer:

The OMD-525X Oxygen Analyzer combines a rugged wall-mount design with Southland Sensing’s precision electrochemical oxygen sensor technology. The result is a reliable and cost-effective analyzer designed for continuous trace, percent, and oxygen purity measurement with an intuitive, easy-to-use interface.

The analyzer can be configured for either 10–28 VDC or 100–240 VAC input power, providing flexibility for integration into a wide range of industrial installations.

The OMD-525X can be configured for trace parts-per-million (PPM), percent, or oxygen purity measurement using the appropriate Southland Sensing oxygen sensor and measurement ranges selected through the built-in menu.

Auto-ranging allows the analyzer to automatically select the appropriate measurement range as the oxygen concentration changes, while displaying the measured oxygen concentration locally in a large, easy-to-read format.

Two configurable alarm relay contacts provide local or remote indication of high or low oxygen conditions. Alarm setpoints are user-adjustable through the analyzer menu to accommodate specific process requirements.

The analog output measurement range can be selected through the onboard menu for straightforward integration with a PLC, DCS, data acquisition system, or other process control equipment.

Process gas connections are available with 1/8″, 1/4″, or 6 mm compression tube fittings to accommodate a variety of installation requirements.

Oxygen Sensor Technology:

The oxygen sensors used in the OMD-525X are based on proven galvanic electrochemical fuel cell technology. All oxygen sensors are manufactured in-house by Southland Sensing Ltd. under a controlled quality program to provide consistent performance, accuracy, and long-term stability.

Multiple sensor chemistries are available to accommodate different process gas compositions. Standard sensors are designed for applications containing background gases such as hydrogen, helium, and hydrocarbons. Acid-resistant sensors are available for applications containing carbon dioxide and other acid gas backgrounds, including many natural gas streams.

Southland Sensing oxygen sensors are completely self-contained and require minimal routine maintenance, with no electrodes to clean or electrolyte to replenish.

Oxygen sensors should be periodically calibrated to maintain measurement accuracy. Southland Sensing recommends calibration approximately every 2–3 months, or at an interval appropriate for the specific application and operating conditions.

The sensors provide excellent linearity and can be conveniently calibrated using ambient air when appropriate. For applications requiring greater calibration accuracy or traceability, a certified span gas can be used.
