OMD-351 Ambient Air Monitor

Le OMD-351-O2 Ambient Oxygen Monitor is designed to continuously measure oxygen concentrations in enclosed spaces and industrial environments where oxygen deficiency may pose a risk to personnel. Leaks from nitrogen, argon, and other inert gas systems can displace oxygen, creating potentially hazardous conditions without warning. Continuous oxygen monitoring provides an important layer of protection against oxygen depletion and asphyxiation hazards.

The OMD-351-O2 features an easy-to-use interface with integrated safety alarms designed to alert personnel to potentially dangerous oxygen concentrations. The monitor includes two independently adjustable oxygen alarm setpoints, factory-configured at 19.5% and 20.0% oxygen. Alarm functionality includes two Form C non-latching relay contacts, an integral audible buzzer, and front-panel LED indicators. A dedicated power-failure relay provides additional notification capability.

An integrated rechargeable battery backup allows the monitor to continue operating during temporary power interruptions, brownouts, or AC power failures. This standard feature helps maintain continuous oxygen monitoring when primary power is unavailable.

The OMD-351-O2 utilizes proven galvanic electrochemical oxygen sensor technology for accurate, reliable measurement and long-term operation. The self-contained sensor requires minimal maintenance, with no electrodes to clean or electrolyte to replenish.

To maintain measurement accuracy and reliable alarm operation, Southland Sensing recommends periodic calibration and functional verification of the OMD-351-O2 as part of a routine preventive maintenance program. Regular testing of the oxygen sensor, audible and visual alarms, and relay contacts helps ensure the monitor continues to perform as intended and supports established workplace safety practices.
